The Women in Wine Expo is dedicated to promoting gender equality within the wine industry. Our mission is to elevate women in the wine sector, enhance wine education for women, and raise awareness about gender equality throughout the industry. After the inaugural WIWE in 2019 in Belgium and the Netherlands, followed by world-class editions in Georgia (2022), the United Kingdom (2023), Portugal (2024) and Hungary (2025) we now bring WIWE to the international stage of ProWein — shining a spotlight on the diversity, expertise, and creativity of women winemakers worldwide.

We are passionate about wine and committed to deepening its cultural heritage. Our goal is to create an inspiring and accessible platform where fresh ideas are shared, featuring speakers from diverse backgrounds — including many new voices. WIWE offers a unique space where seasoned professionals gain insights from emerging perspectives, and beginners can learn in an open and welcoming environment.
Prowein
In March 2026, the Women in Wine Expo brings its global community to ProWein, the world’s leading trade fair for wine and spirits and a key marketplace for the international wine industry. Each year, ProWein welcomes thousands of wine buyers, importers, distributors, sommeliers, retailers, and hospitality professionals from around the world, all coming to Düsseldorf to discover new wines, meet producers, and explore the latest vintages and trends.
By joining ProWein, WIWE strengthens its mission to elevate women in wine on a truly global stage — offering visibility, access, and meaningful connections across continents. Meet & Greet — March 14, 2026
We begin WIWE at ProWein with an informal and festive Meet & Greet in the heart of Düsseldorf. This gathering brings together women in wine who have traveled from around the world to meet industry partners — the perfect way to connect before the fair begins.
Women in Wine on a Global Stage
For the first time, WIWE will be part of this global platform by curating a flagship Masterclass in Düsseldorf, dedicated to wines made by women worldwide. Set within the highly professional and international environment of ProWein, this masterclass offers a focused space to showcase the expertise, creativity, and diversity of women in the global wine industry. Visitors can expect inspiring stories, diverse wine styles, and a thoughtfully curated selection of wines crafted by women winemakers from across continents.
